Didn’t want to get delayed chatting to the hairdresser !

Mom has the hairdresser coming today and although she is lovely , like most hairdressers she can talk and talk and talk …..
Mostly they stay in the kitchen and drink coffee and chatter away ….good for them I say .
However, I am not having my hair done and have got things to do so haven’t the time to stand around chatting. Also it means I couldn’t get in the kitchen to make a drink or get something for dinner.
So, I decided to come home early.
It is raining so only a few workmen have turned up at the next two houses to Mom so she was able to get on and off the drive ok.
I’m sitting in my living room with the fire on and a hot drink, wondering what to have for lunch …..

Must be nice to have the hairdresser coming to the house. Day is so far so good. Other than managing to spill some coffee grounds

I do think that the hairdressers would feel very boring if they do not talk or do not have anyone to talk to. The work they do are very routine.

A chat is okay …..of course …..but she can talk for hours …..

@traceyjayne I hate getting my hair cut, especially when the cutter is one of those chatty types. I'm there to get my hair cut, not to chat, and I'd rather the cutter kept their eye on the ball. I especially hate those who talk for hours but at the end of it they haven't actually said anything.

It would be nice to have a hairdresser come to the house. I hope she didn't impose on your plans too much. My day is going OK. I am really late coming here today.

Tracy....the hairdresser ...used to work in a local salon that Mom went to. When it closed Tracy went mobile. She has been going to Mom's for over 25 years. I wasn't having my hair done and wanted to get home for when The Mister got back

I work a short day on Friday and overall it has gone well. I got groceries after lunch.

That was a smart move to head home early! 
It's nice they get to chat, but sometimes you just need to get on with your day. Your cozy setup with the fire and a hot drink sounds absolutely perfect for a rainy day. Hope you figure out a tasty lunch!
