The squirrels are at it again chasing each other around the tree..jumping on and off the porch etc. Usually there is just one out front, but today there are two. There are also some in the back, but it might have been the ones from the front. It's hard to estimate the squirrel population around the yard, but I would guess several. They can really make a racket when they want to too. Do you have any critters around your house?

My dad has tons of squirrels, and I remember when they used to get in his attic. His hearing is so bad he didn’t know they were there until his living room light started flickering. So he fixed that. The squirrels are the bane to Diana’s existence. They have so many birds so she has several birdhouses. The squirrels like to eat all the food. I ended up getting her a squirrel vase once for her birthday as a joke. I’ve seen rabbits and foxes in the back of our apartment complex.

@snowy22315 I will have to ask her. I got her one that attaches to the plate glass window by the dinner table. The squirrels fall off of, but I bet she’d like to get one specifically designed to keep out squirrels.

I like to watch squirrels chasing each other, they are cute critters. There are plenty of birds here, but no other critters.

We have birds but most of the time they stay in nearby trees.

I used to have a dog here who killed one of the squirrels one time. That was kind of sad. I was sorry I didn't see it to interupt the process.

@snowy22315 I don't stop mine. There is plenty of area around me they can live without being in my yard

I always look at the squirrels tails to see if they're big and fluffy as that is a sign we're going to have a cold winter.

They are big and fluffy here. That reminds me I need to put some dryer lint out there for them to line their nests

The only critter I've seen is a chipmunk and a duck that knocked on my door. I see hoof prints from deer in the s**w every winter.

@snowy22315 A mallard was on my front porch. I think he might have been looking for bugs; and tapped on the front door. Either that or he was a tame duck and wanted to come in. lolololol

Even though I don't live in the country, I live sort of on the edge. With the ''Twin Lakes'' (one is a pond in my opinion) we have literally a gazillion geese. Most of them never leave now, how they survive the bitter winter temps here, I will never understand. Add in the many squirrels, bunnies, and some chipmunks...and unfortunately, some racoons show up at times to eat out of the garden (they steal tomatoes that are almost ripe) so now I have to pick my tomatoes when they are not yet quite ripe, to be able to beat the racoons to them! Yesterday, we had two eagles. They flew right to the lake, and it appeared that they were having a snack of a fish. I'm sure as dry as it is, they wanted water and food.
