I got 12 cans of baked beans at the auction for 3.50. Great price and I won't need any for a couple of months at least. Green beans and apples were very high again today. I would like to get some more of both just to build my supply up more. Maybe Friday.
There was enough people to play euchre tonight so we went to that. Found out that they might not get the road done this year. People are going to be really po'ed if that happens. Especially as many feel it didn't need to be done.
It dried out during the day but now we are getting more rain. I hope it lasts all night.

You sure did get a deal on the baked beans, like .29 cents a can...they are never even close to that, no matter what store you go to. Our fresh apples are not cheap here now, either. I keep hoping, but...nope.
We had another one of those 2 minute light showers...if it was even two minutes. We need some real rain, really soon.

The peas I got last week were not much more.
We got a decent amount yesterday evening. But could use more yet

Seriously, that’s a great price.
If they can’t get the road done can they at least reopen it, or have they already done enough damage to the point where they have no option but to go forward?

That started soon after dinner
No option at this point. It's got the dirt and gravel down. For some reason they tore out the old brick road under it. Then realized that helped with stabilizing the road bed. Now they need to do that

Wow, you got a bargain with those baked beans …..they used to be a cheap foodstuff here but the price has gone up so very much over the last few years.
