Not a Bad Doctor Appointment

So I saw my most troublesome doctor, the pain management doctor. Why is he troublesome? He forgets to call in prescriptions, his lab messes up tests, and he’s constantly late. Someone asked me if it helped that he was really handsome. Uh, no, it does not. Anyway, although he was late today, I told him about my upcoming trip to Disneyland. He advocated driving because of the government shutdown (how long will TSA come in unpaid?). He also said he’d give me a steroid pack next month along with my regular medication to make getting around after a long ride, easier. That was very considerate. Now, the government shut down may be over in a few weeks, but he has a point about that. Darn it, if the cruise had happened this wouldn’t be hard. I didn’t get to spend time with my nieces and nephew then, and I really wanted to. I WOULD still get some alone time with my sister. She scheduled her and I for a Princess Breakfast. Yes, that is exactly as it sounds. All the princess characters come in, in full costume and character. It was really sweet of her. She’s taken the kids before, and she thought treating me would be nice. Whatever happens, you can bet I’ll paste a smile on my face no matter what. I imagine I’ll have fun, but since she and my dad split the cost, they are going to get a very appreciative Amber. Because I am.
