ICE is NOT "Kidnapping" People

United States

If you aren't a citizen of this country, if you are here illegally, you are a CRIMINAL. Period. End of story. So no, despite the outlandish media coverage of the crackdown of ICE enforcement in Chicago, people weren't being "kidnapped off the streets." They arrested 1500 illegals in Chicago just in one day. One day! Chicago is a haven for lawbreakers. Once again, if you're here illegally, you're a CRIMINAL. Being here without documentation in and of itself is a crime. And . . . just wait to see how many of these illegals had committed crimes and offenses while in the USA. The media and Chicago lawmakers just need to shut the hell up and follow the law.

Have you ever wondered just why some immigrants try so hard to get here? Some have children in grave danger, they are fighting off violence, they have no hope of any future for themselves or their children if they stay there. If, and I mean IF, they can get money together to pay the wild prices to leave their country legally, they are very fortunate. Most do not, as to come up with enough money to go the legal route for an entire family isn't possible for them. Many of these immigrants are fighting for their lives and for those of their children. Would I do what they are doing, if it were the only way to save my children? Would I take such a chance? YES. If it were the only way, I would. The Parable of the sheep and the goats..many have forgotten that. Many of these people are simply striving to survive and to keep their families intact. They are not all criminals. ''When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God. (Leviticus 19:33–34, NIV)'' ''
Using Uniform Crime Reporting data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and population data from the U. S. Census Bureau, the Council created a report on the relationship between immigrants and crime.

Very nicely said. I go with your narrative coz technically all of you have been at one time been an immigrant there except for the native American indians that was living before everyone else. It is just fortunate that you were there when laws were passed to make it stricter rules to be Americans anymore.

What about "illegal" who became rich and famous in the US? I suppose they were not criminals, only did not arrive to obtain a regular visa. (I cite a few: Jose Antonio Vargas, Levi Strauss, Joseph Pulitzer, Arnold Schwarzenegger)

@MarieCoyle - If you do not offer a chance to people, you cannot know who are the good ones and who are criminals. We have so many criminals occupying important positions in the world and too many bad people who are not offered the possibility to show how good they are.

@LadyDuck We have our share of home-grown criminals, for sure. They are found in every country, all over the world. Removing the immigrants has even caused some farmers to plow their fields here and not plant them--because there are no field workers. They are either being chased down, don't show up, or have been deported or jailed. And they held jobs...they did the work that the Americans won't do--get dirty, hot and sweaty.

@LooeyVille Your words come off a bit off centered and not friendly. Perhaps, even, veering toward the alley.

The media likes to leave out the part where people are "investigated" and places are "investigated." They want to badly to make it seem like ICE is just out rounding up brown people. It's so pathetic that the media does this and even MORE pathetic that ANYONE actually believes it.
