The Coolest Thing

If you saw it too, you hopefully thought it was as cool as I did. A concerned citizen brought in a Monarch butterfly with a torn wing to a vet. First, bless the person who cared so much about a butterfly to bring it to a vet. Well, the wing couldn’t be saved. However, the butterfly was still alive. The vet looked around for a dead butterfly, found one, carefully removed one of its wings, and painstakingly attached it to the injured butterfly (there is video). I was worried the butterfly was in pain, but apparently there are no nerve endings there, and the butterfly didn’t feel pain. They observed it for awhile, and then let it fly away into nature. How cool is that?

I hadn't seen that but it certainly is amazing that not only someone brought the butterfly to the vet but that they were able to give it a new wing.
