A Surprise Sunset View

A stalled cold front over north Florida, along with a big nor'easter off the Atlantic coast, has brought considerable rain to the eastern parts of Florida, and breezy conditions and heavy cloud cover to the interior parts of Florida where I live. The result was a dreary day today, although I made the most of it by attending an art festival. Hey, at least it wasn't hot and humid today like it is most days in Florida!
But I got a nice surprise late this afternoon as the sun was about to set. The cloud cover broke, and we were treated to a magnificent sunset. This is the second beautiful sunset I've seen within the past few weeks. I was so lucky that I happened to look outside when I did.

Oooh, that’s beautiful! It was perfect weather, low 70s and low humidity. I went to Saunders Springs down in Radcliff (near Fort Knox, about 50 miles from Louisville).

Oh, wow, Jeff! That's a really incredible picture. It reminded me of the Forrest Gump quote he made to Jenny--''It looked like two skies, Jenny--one on top of another'' and he went on to say that he'' couldn't tell where heaven stopped, and the earth began.''

I wouldn’t mind rain with the cooler temps. Most of the time if it’s raining here it’s usually hot and muggy.

I imagine seeing a reflected sunset is not quite the same as an actual sunset, but probably still beautiful nonetheless.

That’s how it is in the summer here where I live. It rains almost every afternoon. Thankfully, autumn is here now and it’ doesn’t rain as much.

@LindaOHio I'd go stir-crazy being inside all the time. I'm an outdoors type of guy. I like being outside as much as I can (except in the summer when being outside in Florida is a hazard to your health due to the heat).
