When Martin and his GF came to pick me up, I discovered that it was their anniversary of being a couple. I was moved and proud that they had chosen me to share with them this moment.
I had a capucchino and a delicious piece of chocolate cake. I buy often chocolate cake at my supermarket but this one was much better as the place was a lot better than a supermarket. The waiters were very nice and when they learned that it was a celebration thay brought a dish with a brownie with a flower over it and the words "happy first anniversary" written in chocolate.
The waiter also took a picture of us so that they would have a reminder of the moment. It was awesome.
I ate the rest of the piece of cake as a sort of dinner because I could not eat it all and Martin asked the waiter to place it in a container to bring it here.
The world is beautiful and I´m happy.

He is. His father told me that Martin has sort of adopted me as a grandma. He is adopted so he has no ffamily except for his parents and whatever family really accepted him.

My oldest son was adopted. Everyone on both sides of the family accepted him right away, but one person-my (ex) husband’s father. He had not ever known anyone in the extended family to adopt a child and he didn’t want to accept him at first. My other children, the ex, me, and the rest of the family talked to him and said he was our son now just the same as the other one, and that wasn’t ever going to change. He finally came around and it’s rather satisfying now to realize that the old grandfather thinks the world of this young man and loves him very much.

I am so glad you had such a nice time, Marga. They sound like a lovely young couple, and they must think a lot of you to include you in their special day. And even chocolate cake! What a nice day for all of you.

We get chocolate cake that is frozen and then enjoy it during the month. The brownie sounds cute. Nice of the waiter to take a pic.
I am happy to read that the world is beautiful and that you are happy. I hope this attitude continues.

There can be a huge difference in chocolate cakes depending on the chef. Glad all is well with your world.
