Do you like weekends or do they get on your nerves?

Weekends are fantastic when you work a regular job. You really need the break, and it feels awesome when you have one. However, when you are (retired) it is not that interesting to have a weekend. Nothing is really happening, unless you make plans to go out, and that generally involves spending money. Yeah, they are good for baking and what not..but it takes up a lot of time. They aren't the greatest, especially when you live in a water based community..because alot of people are gone now. I find them rather boring, and sometimes lonely. All I can say though is they are better than they used to be, because there are more things around here now..so if you really want to do something you can, when you have a car that doesn't need repairs that is.
. Do you like weekends or find them a bit dull?

When I was going to school, I enjoyed the weekend. Now that I am self-employed, I do not like them that much.

Unless I have plans, I find them dull. At my last job, I actually worked weekends. It made the time go by quickly, that’s for sure.
I was sure I’d make it to church today, but that didn’t work out. Football is fun, but I’d like to be around people more.

Yes, football makes weekends good. I like to have social things to do on the weekends when possible.

Wrll, you are working or playing music most of the timr. BTW, any particular reason you aren't working in osychology? That can be pretty lucrative.

"However, when you are (retired) it is not that interesting to
have a weekend. Nothing is really happening." your right
when you get retired things change from working all the time
to just doing your own thing when ever you want.
But when you get up in age the days just fly by & they
all blend into 1 another where you lose track of time.

Weekends are always very lonely for me. The phone doesn't even ring.

If anyone calls here on a weekend it is usually friend. I will sometimes get texts or emails though.

You are right in your observation. Age, environment, conveyance and above all money matters when it comes to spending weekends after retirement. For those having jobs, it's something worth awaiting for, only if the weather permits and the environment is stable. I look forward to weekends because I get a lot of 'me' time.
