We are in recovery mode here now.

I haven't made a post in several days. Son had surgery, and it was a bit rough to say the least.
I won't go much into the details right now...suffice it to say that we hope this helps his pain levels. I am just glad to have him home again, and not have to be in the hospital any longer this time.
There was a time when I used to dread surgeries, for myself or for anyone. But his surgeries so far have been to fix the problems from the accident, and we can see improvements. This recovery is not going to be as easy, but we do think it will be worth it.
He is so glad to be out of the hospital. For him to do a lot of rest and recovery is now on the agenda. Neither one of us has had much rest lately, and getting home and being able to rest is helping. As per usual, we have to be careful about germs and him not getting any infections, etc. but we are used to that.
We are both glad to be home now.

Take care, both of you, dear friend. I don“t know what ails your son but do hope he gets better.

Basically he is still having surgical procedures to repair what all damage his body had from the accident he was in. Thank you, Marga.

Seems as if there is never any real rest in the hospital. I do hope this was a good move.

He's alive and he's trying to keep going. That's a huge thing in recovery. George was and still is frusterated with how long it's taking to get anything done. He wants his tube out, but it's a process. And, it'll never be simple. It's not like a band-aid where you ask and it's gone. And, it's hard on him sometimes.

My prayers are with you both your son and you, the hard working caregiver.
