A Clearwater Florida police officer answered an emergency call from a resident requesting for help to remove a five foot boa constrictor who was on top of an auto hood on Sunday October 12. The female police officer used a snake hook to remove the boa constrictor who was in need of water to drink from the top of the auto hood and take the boa constrictor to a local pet store where the boa constrictor will hopefully find a new home soon. I wonder if the officer had been trained on how to handle snakes.

I really don’t think those things should be pets. They obviously get out, and are a threat to dogs, cats, and other innocent little animals.

I would never have a snake as a pet due to the fact that they are dangerous.

In the past, when my house was still have a forest, there was a snake that fell from the ceiling which I thought was a tree branch. After I stepped on it, its body was really smooth. Luckily, I wasn't bitten by it.

Just as well the resident noticed the snake before he drove off in his car, as a snake falling through the auto hood, while you are driving, onto your lap, might cause an accident to occur.

I wonder where the boa came from? I'm glad they took it away.

Good question since the police officer think that the snake managed to flee from home.

I bet snakes are a common problem in Florida. I've read of snakes entering people's homes there.
