It was just announced that he will do so after the scandals and accusations made about him over the past several years. He was kicked out as a "working member" of the British Royal Family a few years ago. He has been excluded from state and official events. He *was* allowed by his brother King Charles to wear his military uniform for his mother the late Queen's funeral and procession but otherwise he's been widely sidelined.
He will no longer be known as the Duke of York nor will his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson be known as the Duchess of York. He will still use "Prince Andrew" as that is one that was conferred upon him as the son of the Queen. He will no longer attend family Christmas events. Their daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will still retain their titles because they are grandaughters of the late Queen.

@njchicaa However we are still lumbered with the rest of the family and the archaic system that perpetuates them. When Charles goes that would be a good time to put a stop to the nonsense and elect a head of state who would be replaced every 5 years. I’d be an excellent candidate.
