A police officer with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Merced Station pulled over a driver on a road on Wednesday October 10 when the officer saw that the license plate was handmade which is a violation of state law. The driver of the auto told the police officer that he or she since the gender of the auto was not released to the public; What likely happened is that the driver will pay a fine for using a fake license plate on the back of the auto. I hope it is a hefty fine. It's fraud too I would think.

He will definitely get a ticket and probably a fine too. If he/she has a record, could go directly to jail.

That is true since traffic violations can land offenders in jail.

That’s going to be a hefty fine. They don’t play around with stuff like that.

To add to the irony, the next news story will be that he paid his fine with a fake check.

The owner of that car, might have had their number plate stolen, but to think that they could get away with driving with a fake plate, is pretty dumb, and this action has now got them into further strife.

I wonder if their plate was stolen and they thought it would be okay to make a temporary one while they were waiting for a replacement?
