The other night my husband and I watched a horror movie called “The Substance “. It had two actors in it that we have enjoyed throughout the years. Because Demi Moore and Dennis Quaid were in this movie we were expecting to enjoy it. Boy were we wrong!
We both agreed that this movie was undoubtedly the worst movie we have ever seen. It had potential, but resorted to absolute gore and grossness. I really can’t even describe what we saw. Only watch if you enjoy yuck and scripts that fall short.

@Tampa_girl7 I think it's a common trope at this point. Oddly enough, George likes it.

We like horror too, but this was ridiculously gross.

@Tampa_girl7 To me, when there's a lot of gore, it's not true horror. Horror isn't about blood and guts. It's about emotion and feeling and despair and desperation and being thrust into extraordinary circumstances.

I love Demi Moore movies but yes, I will pass this one up if you say it was so bad. She was much better in the movie Striptease with an old Burt Reynolds,

Doesn't sound like a movie I would enjoy. Gore and grossness would turn me off too

When they overly put it in I feel the writers are being lazy. Honestly I turned away a few times. I didn’t want the images in my mind.

I like watching Deemi Moore but I'm scared of horror movies. The last one I watched was 'Final Destination 4" years ago

This one wasn’t scary. It was just disgustingly gross.

Not all horror movie that have movie stars are going to be classics. Sorry to learn that "The Substance" did not live up to your expectations,

It would be a pass for me as gore and grossness isn't something I like to watch.
