Money can be a hard thing to figure out. Either you never have enough money. Or you just have enough but no emergency money. Sometimes you never have enough money to get everything that you need. Some people have strict budgets and never buy anything just to buy it. They never go out or have any fun.
Sometimes you need to blow a little bit of money and have some fun in your life. Money is something that you have to have to survive. So you should pay your bills first and buy food. But you also need to have just a little bit of money just to blew.
Some people will just spend all of their money and not have enough money for things that they need. I hope most people will only spend what they have to spend and not have to borrow money to make it through the month. Or put to much on a credit card that they can not afford to make the payments on.

@jstory07 I love antiques and vintage so when I do need something, I try to find one of those. When the house is ready, I want an old secretaries desk. I need one for my writing/geneology but also, they have them with drawers and I need a dresser so that will be perfect. I can find one (see them often), much cheaper.

Hi Judy! This is so true. At least it has been for me for a long time. And the funny thing is -- I know how to be frugal. I'm always trying to find ways to save. It helps but often isn't going to make a sea change. It's hit or miss at times.

I have never desired to be rich. I am happy to have enough for my needs and occasionally be able to buy a want.

I have learned to be satisfied with what I have and always keep to a tight budget and any extra I make makes me happy, I have no credit cards and only use my debit card,

I think most of us change over time.
When I was younger, I would often waste money on expensive cars, and extra good clothes.
These days, I do not do that.
I prefer to only spend what is needed to be spent, and to keep the rest earning some interest in my bank account.
Of course, at times I will make a larger purchase, but these days, I try to save until I have the cash, to do so, and so, I do not need to take out a loan to buy something more than I really need to.

I use my PayPal survey/MyLot money to go out to eat and to occasionally buy something that I really want but don't need.

To me money is not at all complicated. People just make it that way because they fail to understand fundamental things about it that are important to it.
For example, money makes money. Many people don't understand this, or how it works. The idea around money for me has always been, earn as much as you can, keep as much as you can, wisely save and INVEST what you keep, and eventually your money will be enough to provide for all of your financial needs.
So many people are confused that in order to have money, you must earn it. While that's true to an extent, the REAL key is keeping it.
If I can keep and accumulate $1 million, it will provide me with $60,000 a year in interest and dividends. That's $60,000 that eventually, I don't have to go out and punch a time clock for.
Saving also gets confused by some to mean "sacrificing." That's not how it works either. The ultimate sacrifice is NOT saving because it adds more time to the back end requiring earning. I have always saved, but it has never NOT allowed me to enjoy my money at the same time. In fact, I enjoy my money MORE having saved because I actually have it to enjoy, and I know that what I spend today, the money I already have will generate back tomorrow.

A time was when I had little money. I was.jobless and could not afford many things - books and a phone. Now I have a small business of my own and money enough to sustain my family. But I prefer not to buy things without which I can go.

@jstory07 Thank you. That's exactly what I do. I buy only what I can afford and I need. If I need something, but can't afford, I start saving to buy it.
