A small dog that was stuck in an escalator at the Harvard station in Cambridge Massachusetts required the services of the Cambridge Fire Department firefighters to rescue the dog on Saturday night October 18. The small dog whose gender was not released to the public had its hind legs stuck on the escalator. The rescue of the small dog was successful. The firefighters transported the dog and its owner via ambulance to a veterinary hospital where the dog did not suffer any life threatening injuries. A firefighter only suffered a minor injury when the dog bit the firefighter. It is odd for humans and/or animals to get trapped in an escalator. Link is msn.com/en-us/weather/...

I am in agreement with you that the dog went through a tough time in the escalator.

I guess the owner may have made an error walking the dog in the escalator.

I do not like escalators. I had an incident on one when I was a child, and they freak me out a little now.

Thank goodness I have never been hurt in an escalator.

Poor little dog - and poor firefighter. It would be best to carry little dogs on escalators.

The dog should not have been allowed to be on that escalator like that. The owner should have carried it. I doubt if it would have wandered onto the station alone, but if it did, the station hands should have stopped it, before it got onto an escalator, by itself, as it would not know how to travel safely, and risk being trapped as it was.
