Did She Have Plastic Surgery?

One of the TV shows my wife and I love to watch, and let me tell you, it's fantastically written, is Only Murders in the Building starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
I have to say, with the current season, I am having quite a bit of trouble digesting Selena Gomez. It's her voice and the thought that her jaw seems wired shut suddenly. It's hard to watch, honestly.
She looks very different as well. Not just the weight loss, and good for her, although I thought she looked better before. But yeah, there have definitely been some "changes," and I am beginning to think not exactly for the better.
Has anyone else noticed this about Selena? And if she is having plastic surgeries, what a shame. She was a beautiful woman already and from what I have seen of most plastic surgeries...
It never makes anyone look better. And certainly something happened to her speech here which just adds to the detraction for me. Now, anytime a scene turns to her, I can't even focus on her character, I can only focus on her, and that's the complete opposite of what a performance is supposed to accomplish.

@LadyDuck yeah, my mom had lupus and her face would swell with the steroids

She has lupus and some of the meds and steroids can affect facial features

I don't know about plastic surgeries but I have to agree. I really thought it was me that her voice sounded different and her mouth doesn't seem to move naturally.

@porwest it could be related to her Lupis and the treatments but it is hard to watch this season.

I don't have Hulu so cannot watch this show. The first two seasons aired on ABC so I was able to catch that. The rest I am not sure about. Maybe season three will air on ABC this year but my current Spectrum TV plan doesn't have ABC as I have TV Stream.
I saw Selena Gomez in a new music video and there she looks different... But not sure if she did anything. Maybe her looking different is just the makeup department making her look that way in the video and in the show.

@porwest the weight loss could also have been due to the fact that she got married. Maybe she lost weight for that.

@lovebuglena Maybe. It's possible. Give it a couple years, the weight will be back on likely. That's how it always works, you know. lol Benny Hill did a funny sketch about this once.

I'm always horrified by what women do to their faces and bodies after various surgeries. They usually become uglier.

I think she had plastic surgery, her and a lot of those female stars who should be satisfied with the way they look, but ruin themselves going under the knife.

She has always talked with the slower speech like tired talking. She had kidney surgery and was on steroids for awhile from her steroid use during her lupus flares. She has stated she used botox before. She lost a lot of weight the steroids caused. I think she is beautiful.

I wanted to see that but it was on a channel we don’t have. So, not sure on ‘ treatment ‘ she may have had.
