Why don't I have activity notifications?

Good day.
I was away for a few days because I had commitments, but I decided to stop that and show up here again because I don't want to take long breaks. What I noticed is that I didn't have notifications like before, but I had to go into my discussion to reply to everyone. Is this something new or do notifications now delete themselves after a few days? It's cold here today, but yesterday was a real spring. Temperatures change in a few hours. I don't like autumn and rain. What's the weather like there?

Notifications disappear after 7 days, if you want to know.

Notifications have always fallen off after 7 days.
We're getting storms/showers for the next week or a little longer. It's storming right now and the rain is making it chilly outside.
I hope your spring comes on quickly and you get nice weather again.

@Nevena83 Maybe... The forecast is showing possible tornadoes across the center of the US over the next few days. (Normally, tornadoes go around my city but we can still have problems if the tornadoes take out infrastructure like power lines and internet relays.)

@DaddyEvil Oh, that sounds scary. I've only seen tornadoes in movies and I've always wondered how people survive such terrible storms. Do you have a shelter?

That's exactly what I have noticed. There are less people active here. Our posts recieve less comments.
Here the weather is neither cold, nor hot. We have a nice weather.

@Nevena83 May be, but I'm talking about less responses in our posts. We recieve just a few responses. I don't know what the reason is
We have cold weather, but only in winter. The winter here is not so cold as it is in Europe and America.
