Rain, Cooking Blah Blah

Cooking Using a Power Station

It started raining in the early morning hours and not the cozy light pitter patter that sounds peaceful to hear on the rood. We are talking sideways, bucket tossing and drum bearing drops that slap your windows like it's mad at you. Since travel trailers hold in cooking smells if windows, vents and doors are closed, I decided to open one window by the power station and the rain tried to come in to join the pot like it wanted seasoning rights. The ground outside is like one big slip and slide. If mud sledding was a sporting event, I could enter this property. Trying to walk the few steps to my truck to grab out the case of water proved I could still skate, even without wearing them. I'm telling myself to just grab the chaos with humor. Nothing else can be done so try to embrace it for now. I shut the window, turned on the stove fan, put the Denzen electric pot under and hoping don't smell like food for days. Praying all are keeping safe. Photo is how I am cooking today off grid.

I can imagine doing that when I was in my 40's but that was a while ago. I hope you will be okay. It's now the rainy season.

Yes, we do. I have leaks and this rain is not helping where I can get them sealed.

It is raining here today, but nothing like what you’ve got going on.
