If it's a weekend, always see to it, that we have something special. Yes, it often does pinch on our budget.

Well, I don’t really know. If I were to guess, nowadays with inflation, my average weeknight meal comes out to be about five dollars. It’s usually a protein (whatever is the cheapest), and a vegetable. The meat is what makes it more expensive, of course. Dessert is an apple or orange sprinkled with cinnamon.

I don't have a budget for meals, but I would be better off if I did.

It can vary depending on what I am cooking. More when I serve a single meat portion of some type, and separate sides, etc. It's all about the budget nowadays, and how to fix good meals for less. I always have a very small garden in the summers. I cook from scratch and don't use frozen meals or premade items. So my costs are less in that respect. It's hard to put an exact cost on it, but I have a monthly food budget and I never stray over that amount.
