What Do You Add to a Basic Shop-Bought Pasta Sauce?

I always add extra chopped garlic. I pretty much double it for pasta (or curry) and let it sizzle first so the sauce tastes like I actually cooked.

Diane Foster Time counts too. I do the occasional shift at a charity shop when they’re short-staffed. Even two hours helps them sort donations and get stock on the floor.

Diane Foster No gravy? Mix a little cornflour with cold water, whisk it into the pan juices, and simmer 1–2 minutes. Not fancy, but it clings to potatoes. But if no cornflour, bring on the burgers!
