One of the fun things about this month’s countdown is looking back to the slower songs I used last month by the same act…and wow, did they kick it up a notch (as Emeril Lagasse says)! I didn’t repeat every artist (because y’all complained about Rod Stewart ), but here’s one that I did use last month. Unlike last month, you’re going to be rocking out today! #7: Neutron Dance - Pointer Sisters And waddaya know, it’s another song from Beverly Hills Cop, after “The Heat Is On” earlier in the month. But, to be fair, this was not recorded FOR that movie. It came out a year before the movie, and they put it in the movie because it’s smokin’! The Pointer Sisters were versatile, to say the very least. As I mentioned last month, they won a country music Grammy for “Fairytale.” Last month’s song, “Slow Hand,” was covered by Conway Twitty in country. Meanwhile, you’re bouncing off the walls dancing to this one. So bounce off the walls to this one. It’s great!
