Not only is garlic popular around the world for it adds to cooking but it also has its health benefits. It supports cardiovascular health by lowering blood pressure and is beneficial in killing microorganisms and inhibits their growth. This includes bacteria, viruses, fungus, parasites, and preservatives in foods. So, not only does it add to our foods, but it kills the bad stuff that comes into the body. Thank you, garlic.

I really like garlic and so does my family. I don't like it when people put so much garlic in something that it's overwhelming, but I do use it in many dishes.

It can sure be ruined easily by putting too much in. We all enjoy it too.

@celticeagle Like I said, not too much...I hate it when you have no idea what you are eating, because all you can taste is the garlic.

@MarieCoyle ......I so agree. It should enhance the dish, not overpower it.

Unfortunately my brother doesn't want it if to be seen by him unless it is very finely mixed with other food.

You can also just start your base with garlic and never even has to be in the food.

Garlic is a natural antibiotic. Ancient Romans gave garlic to the slaves to keep them healthy.

I don't like a lot of garlic. A moderate amount is OK.

I knew it is good for health. I am reminded of my late great aunt who lived in to her 90s. I learned she would chop up garlic into small pieces and put it in water and drink it. I'm pretty sure she did that nearly every day.

I guess some can tolerate it easier than others. I take a supplement so I'm sure I get some every day. I'm sure I wouldn't want to share in your great aunt's drinking practice. A bit too much, I think.

We use garlic quite a lot. I don't like it when you can smell it on someone's breath.
