Wheee! With November around the corner, I decided it was time to be able to heat my apartment. I asked Domingo to see if he could get my pilot light working, and he did so. Our nighttime temperatures have not yet slipped below 45 F, but they will soon. Do you have heat where you live? It is a great convenience, even if it can be a tad expensive.

Yes of course I have heat here. I've had it on intermittently for the past few weeks.

It got to 36 degrees last night, but I don’t turn my heat on until it is in the 20s. My electric bill in the summer is killer so I have to make up for it in the winter. I can put on layers to warm up; that’s easy.

Yes, my heater has been on most of the month. Well, it’s been set to kick on most of the month…whether it’s actually turned on or not is another story.

We turned heat on a couple of weeks ago when our overnight/morning temps were at 40F. (The house dropped to 65F after a few days of the chilly temps.) With the morning temps dropping into the mid to high-30s, we won't be shutting the heat off for now.

@TheHorse It was 37F this morning and is supposed to reach 32F tomorrow morning. Only getting down in the 40s here would be a very mild winter.

Last week we had two nights that got down to 26 and 28. This week the night temps are all in the 30's. I keep my windows and doors closed, and my little place hasn't gotten below 68 yet. In the daytime last week we had some 60's temps that seemed to warm the place up, and the nights inside haven't gotten below the 68 mark yet. Mine is staying off as long as possible. We have lots of blankets, etc. I won't let us freeze, but our electric rates are through the roof, literally. There will be plenty of time to run the furnace, I'm sure.

It's a bit surprised to hear that it gets cold to turn on the California now. Here in these few days the weather gets warmer. We also have cold winter here but it won't be below 0 centigrade anyway. Here we don't have the heating system as well as in the North China as our winter doesn't last for a long time. So usually we will just use the air-conditioner to create the heat instead.

Our Ac is also our heater. We haven't reached the point where George's begging for the heater, yet, but I'm sure within a month or so he will be.

Yes, we have heat from October 25, it's not yet really cold, but it was very humid without heating.

I live in a house with no central heating, Today it was 56 in the morning but can get colder later on as the year progresses. I have my clothing, a sweater I wore today, and a space heater,

I have been putting the fire on at home for weeks now. When the Grandkids come we put the heating on. At the caravan this week and yes, I've had the fire on.
