Over a million US veterans will lose their SNAP benefits.

I read this and it made me so sad. Put your life on the line to serve our country, and then the country will let you starve. Some of these vets are low income, some have PTSD, and some are disabled.
This is just wrong! We also have more elderly people than ever before, and many cannot work, their monthly allotments are very small, and we aren't going to see them get anything, either.
Do you ever get the feeling that the powers that be are making every attempt to weed out the poor, the low income, the elderly, and the needy? And add in the veterans.
I am ashamed of our country right now.

This is day one for many, and they did not get SNAP. So it's already started.

If a miracle does not occur today, a lot of people are going to be hungry.

My brother in law has the feeling that the powers that be that run our government want to wipe a large portion of the population. It bothers me that I need food stamps due to mental health and physical health issues.

George, please don't let it bother you. You are still trying, are a good man with good ethics and nice manners. You matter.

It's just wrong in every way...but to know a person was putting their life on the line for the country and we can't even feed them if they need it is purely evil. And of course, the rest...babies, elderly, and all affected.

Of course. Hurl out insults to those in need, it’s evidently acceptable!

@LadyDuck I bet many young people who considered joining the military, won't now. I bet Trump hasn't even thought of that.

@LeaPea2417 - I am sure you are right, why to join the military if you will be left homeless when you age?

This is an anxious and worrying time for so many of us.
You know what would really impress me? If a few of these multi-billionaires would kick in a few measly billion that they would never miss. I guarantee it would be good for whatever business they are in. Musk, Bezo, owners of Walmart, etc. How much money can people spend when they are worth that much?

To be fair everyone likes to use veterans as a tipping point. Most will go we were not good people, just followed orders.

@MarieCoyle People need a lot of things and the more you need the more you get booted out of society, street people, the smart ones. do not need a damn thing even know they probably need more help than anyone/ You can't let people see you or r ask people because they try to destroy your life further. Sad To say

I know some disabled veterans who are ill or with severe PTSD,or disabled in some manner. They are in need of these services.

WIC supplies more than formula. They also consider pregnant and/or nursing mothers, and give vouchers for fresh and frozen vegetables and fruits, dairy products, some protien foods like eggs and peanut butter, baby cereals, and some baby foods. Yes, this administration wants everyone to have lots of babies. But as to the feeding of them, well....

Its sad to see, while the poor lose their benefits, the rich host lavish parties

The lavish parties in times of trouble and stress do not win people over, either.
