I decided to try Dominos Pizza tonight- their vegetarian option, anyway. Back in the day Dominos was not good. Cheap but not good. We don't like Pizza Hut. Within half an hour of placing the order we had hot and tasty pizza. Lots of cheese and fresh spinach, tomatoes, black olives, onions, garlicy spice and Feta cheese. For once it was as good as advertised- shocking. Hubby generally does not like pizza but this time he said: "We should have this for Thanksgiving! And your pecan pie." Okay. So that's settled. Yesterday we put in 35 pool exercise minutes. Today the weather was mild so we walked for about fifteen minutes with the dogs. Moxe pup was beside herself with delight and revved up with zippy energy cause she was in a park. My arms and shoulders got some extra exercise thanks to her. Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be crazy warm- toward 60- so I plan to walk the dogs around the block. Wish me luck there.

I remember when Domino’s wasn’t good. Then, all of a sudden, they went on a huge campaign about all their changes. I don’t know what took them so long, but they sure are good now. Your vegetarian pizza sounds delicious. Good luck with those precious doggies tomorrow!

@AmbiePam I like that I can get whatever crust I want. And that the crust wasn't dripping with grease.

Glad it wound up being so good. Usually over the years things seem to get worse so that’s awesome it was better this time around then when you used to buy it. I liked it the last times I’ve had it which was probably 2 years ago or so. Pizza definitely isn’t traditional thanksgiving food but if you both like it and agree that’s great.

@sallypup oh that’s great to hear. How long has this been? I stopped eating meat when I was 7 but I’m the only vegetarian in my family.

@shaggin Hubby got very ill just after we moved to our current house- about three years ago. He does not have as much interest in food and can't eat grease of any sort. He doesn't like much cheese. I was amazed when he said he liked the pizza. Both of us don't like the idea of hurting animals to fill our stomaches.

@shaggin Hubby refuses to eat meat now- I'm with him on that. Life is sacred.

Here, Pizza Hut was all craze quite many years ago. Dominos has caught up in the recent years and is a bit above Pizza Hut. I like various flavors of Dominos but I still have a preference for the crust that Pizza Hut uses. Dominos scores in the Garlic Breads. Yet I have not heard of Spinach in Pizza before. May be this is the specialty that you get there. Well, it sounds as if your Pets are feeling quite energized.

@prikha_2 Spinach on pizza is not usual here, either. It's tasty with tomato sauce.

Years ago Pretty and I tried a Dominos Pizza in Springfield and weren't happy with them but they made a bunch of changes and before the pandemic, they got a LOT better. We don't go to Springfield now unless we have doctor appointments up there but would be willing to eat Dominos if we got hungry and they were close enough to make the drive without being at a doctors' office. There is a Pizza Hut here in our city but we don't eat there. When we get pizza here, we buy from a convenience store called Casey's. They make a hand-tossed dough that is good even without anything on it. Wow! I'd love to have your temps tomorrow... My part of the US may be in for flurries tonight and tomorrow. We're only supposed to see a high of 38F by tomorrow afternoon. (We've been getting highs in the low-70s for the last couple of weeks or longer.)

@sallypup There are several of the Casey's pizzas that we like and will order. Taco pizza is the best, I think. We started the day at 32F but are up to 35F at 11:35 am. Our high is supposed to reach 39F by late this afternoon. It's supposed to be even colder tomorrow before we warm back up into the 60s.

@DaddyEvil I was surprised by the crust. I am not a fan of thin crust. This was the hand tossed crust. Caseys sounds very tasty. It's morning and it was a cold night- no frost- but sun is coming in now. I am surprised by this last burst of Autumn.

For years our Domino's in this area have been...disgusting. I call it cardboard grease, because that's exactly what it was. I am told it was improved now, but the service is terrible according to those who go there, it takes forever to get a pizza--we are talking 2-4 hours....we just make our own pizzas now. But I am glad yours is good and you have your Thanksgiving worked out.

@MarieCoyle Your feelings about Dominos mirrored mine until last night. It was only about half an hour and we had hot food at our door.

@sallypup The neighbor ordered it the other day for her visiting grandchildren. It took over two hours to arrive, and we live about 2 miles from Domino's. You were lucky!

@MarieCoyle I would have demanded my money back. That pizza was stone cold when it got to their house. I'm sorry.

@Dreamerby You have me curious. Fascinating for me to think of Dominos in India. How is it different? My husband and I eat tofu every few weeks.

@sallypup There are items like tandoori paneer pizza, makhnipaneer pizza which are basically Indian dishes...so these are more tailored to our tastes. I am sure you will enjoy them too.

We don't eat pizza often but that one sounds really good. We all just downloaded the Papa Murphy app to get the $1 medium pizza. I think Saturday we all will order one plus something else and pick them up for dinner and to freeze three of them for the future. They are take and bake.

@sallypup I don't eat pizza often. Maybe once or twice a year if someone else is getting it. They made it tonight but I opted out since not feeling well today. I came back to the hotel instead.

Your pizza sounds yummy. I like our Pizza Hut. Maybe Dominos has changed; but we didn't like their sauce. We are expecting s**w this evening. Sigh.

@sallypup they even ran into some controversy, as some agency investigated those cheese being artificial ones and not real, causing a huge damage to their brand
