I've been watching the s**w in Canada all day. It should start here later today; and we will be getting some lake effect s**w as well. Bummer.

It’s only 47 degrees here, but the wind is blowing something fierce. I briefly thought about turning on the heater, but then remembered this is the only time of the year I can save on my electric bill. I can tolerate cold, but not heat.

I don't mind the snow here nearly as much as I mind the bitter cold winds we are having right now. It' makes it seem way colder than it really is. Plus, worried about the heat bill of course....I haven't run heat or AC for a month until today, it was pretty cold so I turned it on. I do miss having a fireplace.

Our electric rates here have skyrocketed this year. Everyone is keeping their house way cooler in the winter than they ever did. We have electric blankets, and lots of other blankets for sleeping, I am so thankful for them. Stay warm!!
