The Downstairs Looks Like a Crime Scene

Poor Mittens. Our beloved kitty had to stay downstairs while getting over the procedure he had. The vet said not to let him try to go upstairs for 24 hours because he may be dizzy. And each day Josh lays a washcloth over the area for 10-15 minutes to help it drain. It tends to bleed and so there are several spots of blood on the floor before someone can get to them to clean them up. It looks like a crime scene down there. (I'm exaggerating)
We are feeding him soft food for now. The more we can keep him from feeling pain the better. He is such a sweet kitty I hate to see this befall him. I hope we get good news from the vet. Are still waiting for that.

He seems rather chipper today and back to his old safe. He was so mopey and lethargic. Today he isn't.

We are still waiting to hear back from the vet. If we haven't hear anything by tomorrow afternoon we will call them.

What operating did the vet conduct that Mitten is bleeding? Wish she gets well soon.

He has a tumor on the side of his face. The vet did a biopsy to see if it is cancerous or not. The vet said to take a wash rag once a day for about 10 minutes and lay it on the area to help it to drain. As it drains a liquid that looks like blood (probably is partially) comes from the area as it drains.

Yes, Josh is our cat whisperer. He has cleaned wounds, cut fur away from wounds and just been extraordinary with these silly cats who get into some scrapes.
