What’s for dinner

For the past two nights, I have been eating a bowl of Russian dumplings for dinner. I usually have them with some butter, sour cream, and the water they boiled in. It’s sort of like a soup. I even add some dried parsley or dried oregano to the bowl. And I always have a pickle on the side. It’s really good comfort food for me. Now that the dumplings are all gone, it’s time for some halibut. I took a piece out of the freezer yesterday and put it in the fridge. I hope it’ll thaw in time for dinner. I will cut it in half and fry in the skillet with some butter. I’m not sure yet what to have as a side. I can boil some couscous or bulgur and sauté some onion. Or maybe I’ll just make some angel hair pasta with sautéed garlic. When it’s time to eat, I’ll know for sure what I’m gonna do. Writing all this is making me hungry. I guess it’s time for a snack.

I made Manwich baked chicken thighs with buttered peas and baked potato on the side. Good eats. Halibut sounds really good.

Not sure how they are in Latvia. The Russian ones are round and on the smaller side. They are filled with meat, chicken, or mix of both.

I don’t remember what these were but most likely chicken. I sometimes get veal if no pork in it. And if available lamb or beef.
