If you enjoy a mix of the paranormal and fantasy you might enjoy Karen Marie Moning's books. Her first series, The Highlander series was very good.
It's the story of a vengeful fairy whisks the main character, Adrienne de Simone, back in time. She meets up with a Scottish warrior, and the story of love and treachery begins. It's a good read, a fascinating story of time travel and adventure.
She has several awards for her work and received the RITA award for best paranormal romance and is a multiple RITA award nominee, as well as a Goodreads Reader’s Choice Award winner.
She recently died her hair blonde and I don't like it. Her natural color is reddish brown, and I like it much better.

I've never read any of her books but im always looking for a new author. This book sounds like a really good read.
