Has this seed pod just heard joke of the week?

We went for a walk at Lesmurdie Falls. Lesmurdie is a suburb of Perth and the falls are pretty insignificant really. But we had a pleasant time with our two Bavarian guests. The first people we met there were also from Germany. Obviously, we all took quite a few photos but I particularly liked this one I took of an open seed pod. It looks for all the world like a bird’s beak. I thought maybe he was having a laugh at us. Anyone want to give him a caption?

Let me try - The Alien "Invisible" Crocman (one with Crocodile like face and mouth open!! ) . Well, someone could perhaps imagine a mutating dangerous creature, the like we see in some Sci-Fi from this one.

“I’m here to open a branch office.” It is really cool the things you see in nature, isn’t it!
