I was here just doing my thing when the power went out. It rarely goes out so I figured it would come on again within like a minute nope. We had no power from 9am to 2pm. It apparently was just 2 or 3 of the courts here. The electric company had no clue why when my nosy neighbor asked them about it. First it was estimated to be restored by 11:30, then 1:30, and finally 3pm. It came back on just after 2.
I did what I could, listened to some music on my iPhone, and took a nap. I'm just not cut out to be Amish. Oh well.

You realize how dependent you are on the power when it goes out.

I hate losing power. Most of the things I prefer to do need electricity now. (All my books are ebooks now and I need a powered device to read them.) Of course losing power never bothered me when I was a kid. I could read books by the light of a candle back then.
I have a feeling most of us aren't cut out to be Amish now.
I'm glad your power got restored fairly quickly.

I hate it when the power goes out. It's never, ever a good time. I really hate when it happens when I am baking something!
