I always have extra virgin olive oil on hand. I use it not only for salad dressings but also for sauteing vegetables, in pasta sauce, in marinades, etc. I do keep other oils (vegetable, grapeseed, coconut) here too but most of the time I'm using EVOO.
I just placed an order for some grocery items and had it on the list. A 750ml bottle of California Olive Ranch EVOO is $20!
There was another larger bottle of 100% California EVOO from the same company for $39!
Holy crap!
I added a store-brand bottle which costs $10. I have a couple of gift cards for Trader Joe's so I will have to make a trip up there soon. Their olive oil prices are very reasonable compared to the local grocery store.

And I thought that olive oil was expensive in my country!!!
The olive oil I like is around $16 the liter. There are some cheaper ones but I tried them once and there they are.

It's very expensive now, and has been affected by tariffs as well. I use a store brand, and it's fine.

We use EVOO in our cooking, too. And yes, it's getting more expensive.

Switching to healthy foods has raised my grocery bill by $20 or more per week. I don't get why healthier foods should cost more.
