We were VIPs for a night

When we decided to go to a concert at Mangowine homestead, we stayed in the motor-home at a nearby caravan park. Buses took those staying at the park to the concert and back. As it was going to be a bit tricky to take a meal, drinks, chairs, coats, etc, we decided to pay for a ‘three-course meal in an Esky (cooler bag)’. When we arrived, we picked up our Esky but didn’t really know where we were to sit. There was an area roped off for sponsors and VIPs with tables and chairs which we didn’t think was for us but yes, because we’d purchased our meal we were considered VIPs. It’s about the first and only time I think. The photo is of one of the displays in the Mangowine homestead.

We had a great time thanks. There was a cheese, olives and bikkies for entree, then chicken, salads and a bun, then a piece each of cheesecake and lemon cake.

We were wondering who the VIPs were! lol We had no idea it was us. I guess by buying the meal with the tickets they made more money to help run the show.

There was a thank-you note in the carrier bag too. I'm sure these events cost a lot to run.

I got VIP treatment twice - once getting upgraded to First Class on a flight and second to Business Class on another flight. Sitting in the First class made me feel uncomfortable as I did not pay for it and secondly there were a few "real" VIPs.

I'm glad you were treated as VIPs. You and Vince deserve it.
