I just woke up from a nap to this news and I am shocked. The Republican Congresswoman from Georgia just announced that she is resigning from Congress effective January 5.

It was surprising that lately she has been speaking out against Trump's crap like the shutdown, increasing health care premiums, and the Epstein files. She's always been an ardent Trump supporter but recently she's been speaking out against some of what has been going on. She was even on State of the Union on Sunday apologizing for being part of "toxic politics". I was like "who am I even watching right now?"
Well Trump said Greene has "lost her way" and called her crazy. That's some way to reward someone who went to bat for you without fail for 5 years.
Greene even posted a tweet a day or 2 ago after he was calling members of Congress who made an ad about military not following illegal orders. Trump then called them traitors.
She fired back with: "Let me tell you what a traitor is. A traitor is an American that serves foreign countries and themselves. A patriot is an American that serves the United States of America, and Americans like the women standing behind me." BOOM. She has recently torched Trump's foreign policy, domestic policy, and the DOJ's handling of the Epstein files.
I have to give her props for her recent about-face. She says that she hasn't changed her beliefs but she did apologize live on TV for being part of the toxic political culture. This is after her bucking Trump about health care costs and the Epstein files. Do I think she has changed? No. It is interesting though.
In any case Marjorie Taylor Greene just announced that she is resigning from Congress effective January 5. I watched her 10 minute video. She spent the majority of the time detailing what she has done in Congress but then ended that she was resigning as of January 5. She did say something like she will see everyone again. People are buzzing that maybe she will run for president. I highly doubt that. I guess we shall see.

Whatever the Trump supporters or ex supporters do, terrify me. And there are many powerful people all over the world trying to copy Trump.

I've only heard the headline . . . but yah, total WOAH. Even though she is nuts, it has been interesting how she had been turning against the orange one lately. I was hoping that would explode into something good, but well, wishful thinking on my part - and fact of the matter is she is still nuts.
She did say she feared for her life . . . maybe she was threatened? I don't know. Her for president - nah.

I definitely think she is right when she said in her Resignation Statement that the Republicans are going to lose the Midterms.

So, will there be an election to replace her or will Rump appoint another crony to fill the vacancy?

Have to say you picked on a kid and payback is not nice and revenge is not a way we should do things as long as you learn and grow up. She kind of did, and it will take her time to process what just happened, let alone people who just know her story.
She tried or seemed to try to get better and thats all I ask of anyone and that she never disrespects high school students again. She should know now with her look inside Washington how the world works. She should be a different tone. If she is not, she did not learn anything.

We share in the same skepticism about her being different but I do like that his own are turning against him. I do know she plans on retiring in time to receive her benefits for serving 5 years so she still won't have to suffer like the working class

Oh, I am not counting on anything with her. She has been so off the wall and radical, it's going to be hard to believe what she does unless it's followed up with actions.
