My yummy salad from yesterday.

I mostly grazed yesterday morning. I grazed on another version of my default yummy salad. This time I had beets, hearts of palm, canned tuna, and a hard boiled egg, all smothered in Marie's blue cheese dressing. It was delicious. Yes, I shared some tuna with Kitty. Do you have recipes that you "tweak" (not "twerk") each time you make them?

@TheHorse - Yes, tuna salad with some leaves of Romaine lettuce. I like the beets with only a little salt and olive oil.

@LadyDuck The Romaine lettuce sounds good to me. I generally put beets in salads. But I could try some with a touch of olive oil and salt.

Sounds like what we call "tuna salad" here.

Do you eat pickled beets? I really like them. I do have recipes that I tweak. Meatloaf, chili, etc.

Looks quite yummy ! What is Hearts of Palm? I won't have the same thing but I could replace with some veg items. Cottage Cheese and Pineapple may be?

Sounds light and refreshing. Hearts of palm are veggies that may literally come from palm trees. I'll have to see how they are harvested. I use them in "artichoke heart situations."

I've never tried hearts of palm and can't eat tuna. I'm glad Kitty gets a share, too. Yes, most of the foods I make are just from memory and I may add something new or leave something out each time I make them. Pretty never complains so I assume she likes whatever I've made.

@TheHorse Pretty only cooks for herself. And she only does that if she doesn't like something I'm making.

When I used to cook, I experimented a lot. I miss that.

@TheHorse Chicken legs and thighs. My husband ate a ton of them; and I would try to make them differently each time.

That sounds horrible to me, but hey, as long as it is yummy to your tummy, then great.

That sounds good and pretty easy to throw together . . . I'll have to try the beets with tuna ! I have a load of recipes . . . I often have to tweak them because I might not have all the ingredients on hand. I do get some dance steps in while cooking if I'm able . . . um, well, maybe not exactly twerking .

I have a recipe for Tuna casserole that I change up a bit from time to time, sometimes add peas, another time green beans and other times onion and bell pepper.
