These Bots Make Me Mad

I have been wanting to see if Medicare had a program in my area like they did for some last year. It was where seniors had a certain amount on a card that they could use for groceries, OTC, and other things. I had checked last year, and it wasn't available in my area. So, just now a woman called and said she was from Medicare. She sounded rather odd and I wondered but I continued to listen just in case. I tried to explain what I was interested in finding out. She talked over me, and I realized SHE WAS A BOT. I hung up. I am not going to speak to a bot about things that affect my lively hood. Or anything else for that matter. New technology is great, but I still want to talk to a real person about important matters.

I do hate when that happens, They should give everyone an option to talk to a real person,

Because it's a scammer. Scammers want to hook their victims before allowing them to speak to a real person.

What would be the fun in that? Then someone would have to work. This way they can use AI.

I was trying to talk to a pharmacy and they told me I was about to talk to a robot - they told me - but she sounded so lifelike and human I swear I annoyed her.
I absolutely hate that. Give me a person up front, and I promise, things will move faster for us all. Just because you’re saving money with bots doesn’t mean you’ve improved production.

That is irritating. Medicare should have an official page online to inquire about plans.

Medicare will never call you to tell you about those services. In order to get the OTC card, you need Medicare advantage plan (plan B) and usually medicaid. You can check with your medicare's provider to see if they offer it, and if you need to apply for medicid to get it. That's how I got it, and it's not speific to where you live, just the plan you have. It's usually called a duel plan. Try looking it up that way.
And, if someone calls claiming they're from medicare, hang up. It's spam meant to sell you.

Many of those are scams. I get them and am not eligible for medicare yet. Call a few places on your own.
