Goony title but oh well. What a wet. sloppy day. Not freezing. Just determined buckets of rain. I am grateful that I only had to drive local roads and not the highway to get Beau Teak to his doctor. The helper said that Beau was angry during the procedure. I bet he was. How to tell a cat why he is being held still while the doctor pokes a needle in him, both sides? The receptionist told me what I owed. Thirty five dollars more than the Vet quoted. Mumbled something about 'being billed wrong.' I went round and round with her, telling her that the Vet said $150 not $210. She said they wanted more because they had to shave Beau for the procedure. Of course you shave and clean the site where the needle goes in. Duh. So I paid more though I wasn't happy about their lack of transparency. I took Beau home then headed to the larger Safeway that is nearest to my house. Not doing that again. Too large. I will go to the smaller store in the next town over if I must go to Safeway. I did buy a bouquet of red-pink carnations. I ran into a mark down on croisscents- bad spelling- 99 cents for four. I know. Probably post dated. Going to be tasty on Thanksgiving morning. Raspberry inside and powdered sugar outside. I was a wet mess by the time I hauled the grocery bags into the house. That's where the cozy robe comes in. Bye bye shivers and wet wooly sweater.
