And it’s good! You know how sometimes you’re at at a place, and you smell something bad, so you go around trying to find it (to get rid of it)? On the rare occasion it happens at my apartment, it is always something wafting through the walls of my neighbor’s apartment. Whatever he cooks rarely has a good odor.
But today, something smelled so wonderful I went sniffing around my apartment trying to find it. I finally found it on the side of my bookcase where someone must have put it when they were going through my things (ugh). It was one of the Reed diffusers I had been given to review. It smells so good I wish I knew what it was! (Once the box is gone I never remember.)
I hesitate to ask, but good or bad, when is the last time you were surprised by a foreign fragrance? All I can think of right now are the two Mylotters who have neighbors very fond of pot.

Occassionally, when I'm out and about, a fella will walk by that smells absolutely delicious...

Suprised by a scent,,,Ha, HA you really come up with some interesting discussions.
. Heck, I don't know. Nothing comes to mind, sometimes though scents are stronger or weaker than I thought they would be. I don;t mind that too much if it is something I like, but not so much if it is something that is not my thing.

@snowy22315 If it has too much scent it is bound to aggravate my allergies.

@AmbiePam Ugh! I hate the smell of most deoderants. I like unscented versions, same with laundry detergent. I am OK with a light scent...but I don't like stuff that the scent is too prominent.

A year or two ago Pretty and I were shopping in the local Walmart, looking for a new monitor for her bedroom computer. I smelled something very disagreeable and asked Pretty if she smelled it, too... She said she did so I went to one of the electronics people and said something really smells bad around the television/computer monitor area.
We moved over by the desk and watched two of them searching that area. We were all surprised when they found a dirty diaper behind one of the monitors that was mounted on the wall.
Somebody changed their kid, hopefully, in the bathroom, but carried the dirty diaper back out to hide it? Just why would they do that?

"Very fond of pot." I can't smell. Funny me but I can't. A guy walked into the Vet clinic yesterday and said it stunk outside. Cause I can't smell I had no clue what he was talking about. He finally spelled it out- pot. To him, the outiside air reeked of pot.

My stepmom can’t smell either. One time I walked to the front porch of my dad’s house, and even outside I could smell gas. I ran inside, and she had been cooking, but not totally turned off the stove. The smell was overpowering, and she had no clue. What’s scary is, she did it again a few months later. That time I was with my dad, and we both smelled it before stepping a foot inside. My dad was like, Diana, you really have to be aware of turning the stove completely OFF.

I mostly have a terrible sense of smell, but there are times when repulsive scents will invade my nose. I'm not a perfume/cologne person . . . so sometimes I will pass someone in public that has this really strong scent on - I silently think "yuck".

I don't even remember. I think my sense of smell like my feelings and some other things ahve gone on vacation so I do not get crowded by too many sudden memories,

Oh, thank goodness my neighbor hasn't smoked that skunky stuff in the past two weeks. When we visit the mother-in-law her neighbor's apartment always smells like soup. A good smell.

Many times I have interacted with people having very bad odors, others use good perfume. So the experience is mixed
