The Talking Horse

While my mind should have been occupied with reading, writing, and arithmetic, I was thinking of my favorite TV shows. I couldn’t do my English grammar very well and let’s forget about adding one number to another. The one thing that I could do well was to recite the words from this theme song—"a horse is a horse, of course, and no one can talk to a horse, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed."
The character was portrayed by a Palomino horse named Bamboo Harvester.
Even at a young age I loved all animals, and I was mesmerized by this talking horse on TV called Mr. Ed. Now I suppose I didn’t really think the horse talked, but it was amusing to watch. With time we all grow up not only in body but also in mind, so if today you would ask me to spend hours watching a TV show about a talking horse, I would tell you that seeing it once is quite enough. This show had a pretty long run from 1961 to 1966. Now when I think of this silly show, the owner of the horse, whose name was Wilbur, actually held whole conversations with his horse.
Who remembers this show?

I still remember the theme song but was only a toddler when the show was actually on television. (I was born in 1963.)
