I can't imagine this even happening at a child's birthday party.

No one thinks of being shot at a child's birthday party, do they?
This is not the first one I have heard about, no. Stockton,California--Four dead, ten injured, some children and some adults. What kind of a person does this?? How sick do they have to be to even think about doing something like this? Were there warning signs that were ignored??
This makes my heart hurt so badly.
There is an ongoing manhunt for the shooter.

@MarieCoyle I can hardly imagine what could have motivated the person to commit such an act. One possible factor that comes to mind is jealousy, which might have driven the perpetrator to take this course of action. Observing others experiencing happiness while feeling unhappy oneself can lead to a sense of injustice about the world, and such feelings can intensify over time. This emotional spiral could ultimately contribute to the tragic outcome that occurred.

Children or anyone, really. I do not understand the why factor, either. What does this solve? How angry do you have to be to do stuff like this?

Yes, I thought of that. I also thought about a possible domestic problem, like maybe the parents of a child were quarreling.

To think of it happening...especially in that type of setting, is surreal and heartbreaking.

Just not normal but then we no longer live in a normal world, And just before Christmas holidays, I put in a prayer for all concerned,

Nothing is how we think it's going to be anymore. And it's to the point that there is no such thing as normal, unfortunately.

I hadn't heard of these events. Just how awful is that. There really are no words to describe it.
