Did you buy anything for Black Friday?

or Small Business Saturday or today--CyberMonday? I did but not for Christmas presents. I ordered groceries and 2 new pairs of khakis for myself. Yankee Candle was having a huge sale with buy 2, get 3 free large Housewarmer candles. I still have a couple in the cabinet but I ALWAYS have candles burning when I'm here--typically 3. I didn't need them but it would have been stupid to pass up the opportunity to take advantage of that sale. Why pay full price when I can get 3 candles for free?

I did, my sister and my nephew’s Christmas present. I could not find one thing I got for free that would remotely fit them, and luckily, I found two things 40% off on Amazon today. For Hudson, it’s a magnetic sensory toy he’s never seen before. For my sister is a big, illustrated book recounting the story of Sleeping Beauty, and every page has an audible snippet of Tchaikovsky’s opera along with it. She likes that fairy tale so much she made a point to go to Aurora’s (Sleeping Beauty) castle at Disneyland last month. She’s even got shirts with her on it. I’m hoping she’ll like it because considering her love of Sleeping Beauty and opera, this seems like something she’d think was cool.
I figured you’d be looking at Yankee Candle!

Last year I received a big Yankee candle of some scent of evergreen. It was heavenly! They are the best candles, they last a long time.

Pretty did... She was complaining that our vacuum was too heavy to use very easily so she bought a new Shark wand vacuum and ordered a foldable treadmill. She says she'll store it under her bed when she's not using it. As long as it's not in the living room, cluttering it up more than it already is, that's fine with me.

I bought a roll of stickers for Christmas cards, a box of Christmas cards, Christmas address labels with just my name on them (sniff, sniff) and some bookmarks....Oh and a couple of items on my OTC allowance from my insurance company -- low dose aspirin and calcium.

Friday, I bought milk and gas. I never want to have an almost empty tank with snowy roads, I have been in some highway traffic instances that we would have to wait a long time while a wreck was cleared before we could move the car. No one here wants to run out of gas in bad weather. That’s honestly the only things I’ve purchased in days.
