Speaking of the Baking Club. . .

I ran into the faculty room before my last class to refill my Stanley with water. There were 3 paras there--2 who I know and 1 who I had never seen before. The stranger said "NJChicaa?!?!" I was like "yes" and she replied "I've been looking for you! The baker!" I laughed and said "well I bake things but I'm not a baker." She said "I have something for you!"
I must have looked nervous because one of the paras that I *do* know said "it is a good thing!" She thanked me for always leaving treats in the faculty room for everyone and gave me a 2 ounce bottle of pure vanilla extract. It doesn't sound like much but that stuff is expensive! I saw today that Penzey's was having a 33% off vanilla sale and was going to place an order this afternoon but now I don't have to. 
I thanked her and told her I would use it to make some goodies over the weekend.

Pure vanilla extract is crazy expensive. I’m glad she thought to give it to you, the goodies you take to work are surely enjoyed and appreciated.

Also, this must be my reminder that I was planning on buying some vanilla. Hope I don't forget it when I go out later today.
