Baby It's Cold Outside...Even Alexa Said "Bundle Up"

Happy Freezing Friday Everyone! when I asked Alexa what the temperature was this morning she said "it's 16 degrees with a real feel of 9 degrees so bundle up!!" I cracked up when she said bundle up My daughter has the day off from work and she's doing her yearly Christmas shopping day with her friends. They all take off from work and the 1st Friday of December is their annual shopping day. They pick a mall and meet there, shop or browse all day and then go back to someones house for dinner (usually pizza) and games. They've been doing this for 20 years. So,it's just me and the pup today and with my daughter not being home I intend to open some of the boxes and not have to worry that she'll see something I bought for her. We exchange a few gifts so I try hard to make Christmas morning as much of a surprise as I can. As for gift buying I still have to figure out what to get the dog groomer. Most everything I've read online says when it comes to tipping the cost of one grooming should be the amount to give. I'm really perplexed because she's not all that reliable but she does do an excellent job when she comes. My next appointment is next Friday so I have a whole week to decide. Anyway, the fun part of my day ahead is mopping the bathroom floor and folding towels. Right now I'm having my breakfast ... peanut butter and raspberry jam on toast and of course coffee

The Alexa seems to be advising fine! Quite a busy day for you and your daughter. I do have one of these with Bread but not both. Here the minimum has dipped to around 5.6 C. Not much from your point of view but quite low for us as for the early December.

After a time when I ate a lot of peanut butter and jam I got tired of it and because I don't eat a lot of bread I now longer have PV&J sandwiches, An anxious night for me I am waiting to see my SS fly into my account tomorrow morning and get busy ordereing my groceries, Have to see how far the budget stretched ot get me through December,

@Marilynda1225 my SS bounced in on time and I got everything I needed; I just have to avoid any temptations since everything has to last through the holidays.

My SS didn't show up until the end of the month (Nov) which made me have to deal with an extra week. Hope you can stretch that $$ this month and get the groceries you need. It's hard trying to budget isn't it. Groceries are ridiculous in price, everything goes up and nothing comes down.

It sounds like a perfect day for you to wrap gifts for your daughter. The reliablity of your dog groomer tells me to cut the gift price to half the tip. That's me. Have a wonderful Saturday.

I like the shopping tradition. Sounds like fun. I don't know what to say about your groomer. It would bother me that she's not reliable. Have a good evening.

Valerie @just4him suggested half of what's recommended so I think that's doable. It's so annoying that she's unreliable because she does do a good job

That’s a yummy breakfast you have there! I hope your daughter and her friends have fun; it sure sounds like a blast. I went over to see my dad and his wife this morning after going to two pharmacies and the post office. It is incredibly cold, but the snow has melted, and there is no ice. So, that’s good! Give Mush a pet or two or three for me!

Mush says thanks for the pets. She would like them better in person Glad you were able to get out and get stuff done without having to deal with bad weather.

I have toast quite a bit, but my Mom did moreso. I used to call her the "Toast Queen. "

I don't really think gifts should be a 'given' when it comes to tradespeople but no-one tips in Australia anyway so it's a bit different I guess.

Wish we didn't tip here. Thankfully I don't need to tip many people but I do feel obligate to give the dog groomer something.
