Crazy warm flood week

Wow my street was ankle deep in water last night. It was dryer this morning but some houses nearer to the river are having problems. The rain isn't supposed to let up until Friday. Yesterday I made it to Beau's Vet to pick up his heart meds. There was deep water at every street corner and some on the street. I made refrigerator cookies for the first time. I'm regretting that I never demanded that my Mom show me how to make them. I had to shape the sticky cooky dough into a log then wrap that log into wax paper so it could harden in the fridge. My log looked quite ill!! I found my long serrated bread knife and used that to slice the dough. The cookies are good enough to eat but wow on the effort.
