Trying to find a Christmas cookie to make for the cookie swap

As I wrote yesterday my good friend invited me to a cookie swap on Saturday that she is hosting in memory of her late friend. She said there are competitions and, well, you know how I love to be a showoff when it comes to cooking and baking. I am 100% not competitive but I *am* a showoff. Last night I looked through the All About Cookies and How to Bake Everything baking books. I didn't see anything that I wanted to make. Today I went through Food Network's list of 100 Christmas cookie recipes. I saw an iced lemon sugar cookie one that looked interesting but my friend said someone else is doing lemon butter cookies. I went through the Serious Eats web site and found a chocolate sandwich cookie with chocolate buttercream that is a possibility. I also saw an interesting recipe for chocolate cookie "cups" that you fill with chocolate ganache and top with a couple of mini marshmallows to look like a cup of hot chocolate. So far that is the leading contender. Today I'll look through the Bravetart and Baking for the Holidays baking books and make my final decision. I need to make sure I have the ingredients, equipment, and time to make everything since I need to make SIX DOZEN of whatever I decide on.
