Happy Hump Day! My dad is supposed to be getting out of the hospital today, in fact I am going to call the social worker in a few. She knows he is supposed to be sent home with a walker, but told my mother it won't be arriving with him. Apparently, the ambulance will transport him back. However, it is going to be cold. there and I assume there is probably snow on the ground. He really needs the walker to be there when he gets home..otherwise he will have to be carried into the house and might need it to go to the bathroom etc. Plus, I am sure he left home in his jammies. They said they were going to dress him..I hope that includes a winter coat. He has no clothes down there. I think I am gonna call the social worker now.

I hope he settled in at home and that it will work out at home for his recovery. I am sure you are worried about them both.

Concerned..I mean he does have what is tantamount to a fatal illness..but so far has done pretty well. My mother says he is much better now than he was when he went in the hospital though, he sounded good on the phone.

Covid is a strange illness. I lost family members and friends to it that were not even 60 years old...and yet there were some family and friends in their late 80's--early 90's, who recovered and went back home. We just never know. I am glad he sounded good, I know you have been very worried.

Yes, I double checked with the social worker this morning. It is going to be sent with him. I think he has clothes on now. He knows he is being discharged.

@wolfgirl569 I think they took him into the garage, and helped him up the stairs into the house.

@snowy22315 That's good. He still might have been wheeled in. They did my dad any time he came home from somewhere by ambulance.

My mother said they had him wrapped up in a cocoon of blankets..
. He walked into the house himself though with some assistance.

Thanks, hope so. I have visions of him standing in the snow with improper clothing.

I think he is dressed and ready to come home. Apparently, he had a couple of shirts and shoes with him..they may have given him some pants.
