Had a friend over last night. / myLot

I don't entertain at home much, but last night, a friend stopped by. Usually, he and I play guitars together (we both like Irish music), but last night we just drank Scotch and caught up. We had not "hung out" together for a few months. Do you have people over often?

I'm glad you had a nice time. No, we don't have people over at all. Our friends moved away during the pandemic.

@TheHorse My brother comes over but usually stands on the porch to visit for a little while once a year or so. Otherwise, he just drives up, Pretty goes out and he takes her shopping once a month or so. Nobody else comes over.

My grandson has friends over occasionally and my daughter does too. Catching up is a nice way to spend some time.

I have no one to invite over any more. When I was a teenager my mom's partment became teen central and we had a place to listen to our music and hang out and in Latvia we often had people dropping by,

We catch up with four friends most Tuesdays after the clubhouse movies. We take it in turns to go to each other's houses and finish whatever drinks we took to the movies. We all get to the movies half an hour early and have drinks and a chat before the movie starts. It's a pity but only maybe 8 or 10 go each week.
