My hubby and I made it to the pool this morning. First and only time this week. 35 minutes. I feel spoiled. We came home to find that we had three Christmas cards in the mail. Sweetness. I also feel spoiled because our house and property have not been touched or harmed by the rain and resultant floods. Way too many folks north and east of us have lost homes and valuables because rivers overflowed. Roads and highways have been damaged. The governor declared an official emergency. We were only gone just over an hour but Peter cat ran up to me for a snuggle the minute I got in the house. I am adopted for sure. I hope everyone has a grand Friday. Oh- crazy December weather for sure. My petunias have not died back. Two large purple petunia blooms are gracing my front yard.

I don't send or get Christmas cards anymore... I'm glad you got yours. I'm glad your petunias are still blooming.

@sallypup I used to send about two dozen Christmas cards to friends and family. When they stopped reciprocating, I stopped sending them out.

@DaddyEvil Grinch sir: it is December. Sentimental me sent about 27 Yule Tales in manilla envelopes this year- the postage is worth it. Four Canadians got one, too. The Solstice and Yule rule!!

I rarely get more than 2 cards and I've gotten them already, they're so beautiful of course. The trees around here finally lost their leaves, I just wish they would turn color like they do in vermont.

I wish there were old trees here but as you know I'm in a desert and trees are not a natural part of deserts.
