So do you put bandages on your bruises?

Trump has been seen with massive bruises and bandages on his right hand for many months. He tried to hide it with makeup and by literally covering it with his left hand. He seems to have given up on that attempt at subterfuge and we see the bruises and bandages. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt keeps insisting that Trump is in excellent health and the bruises are because he shakes so many hands each day and he is on an aspirin regimen. As Dr. Evil would say. . . riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Even if the hand-shaking excuse was plausible (narrator: its not) what the hell are all of the bandages for? No one puts band-aids on a bruise. What would be the point? IVs (intravenous connections) are often positioned on the top of the hand. They certainly cause bruises and require bandages after they are removed. I'm no medical expert but that seems 1000% more likely the reason for it all instead of just shaking hands.

When I have blood drawn they put a bandage on the back of my hand that I take off a few minutes later. I have rolling veins in my arms and won't let anyone put a needle there. I take the bandage off a few minutes later because the bandages draw unwanted attention and there is normally only a spot of blood before the wound seals itself. Surely he would know wearing a bandage will draw attention to the bruises?

Double bandages for a bruise? Did he accidentally run into a lie detector?
